I want to use the definition as a basic scientific term that is as true 
to what observations can do as possible and links operations just like 
those operations do. It's supposed to be like a math-operation that 
only deals with numbers but does not take into account what the things 
that are counted are.

When you want do describe what a certain axiom in math does you don't 
say "One Apple times no Apples is no Apples". You just say 1*0=0.

You want to add all kinds of assumptions. That's fine for every-day 
talk, but won't do for a scientific term that is meant to describe how 
velbo'e work with the most basic and generic description that's 
possible.
