President's Report

- Evgueniy Sklyanin has handed over the (mostly, but not quite

finished) gismu list to Yanis Batura.

- There have been two logfests this period. The first was at Philcon

2005 in Philadelphia on December 9th - 11th, 2005, and was arranged

by Robin; the second was at Penguicon 2006 in Michigan on April 21st

- 23rd, 2006, and was arranged by Matt. Both ahave reportedly been

fairly successful events.

- Jbovlaste has been steadily expanded, with about 150 edits since

last meeting.

- The Wiki has now been pressed into service as a Content Management

System for www.lojban.org. Some Officers have been given admin

privileges, and are actively maintaining the official pages on the

site, giving Robin some much-deserved relief.

- The BPFK is currently stuck in the Attitudinals checkpoint. There is

little controversial material here; it's just that the sections are

numerous, large, and very boring. There is also a lack of shepherds

who are able and willing to put in an effort.

Treasurer's Report

This is also my report to the board for 2Q2006.

Main account balance at this time (more or less) last year: $2,264.80

Main account balance: $3,823.31

Main account balance according to QuickBooks: $3,721.60

Still not sure where the extra money came from, but dealing with

Wachovia is so difficult I no longer much care.

PayPal account balances; current balance is $46.79

That means we have a total of:

$3870.10

In addition, the Treasurer has not missed or been late for a single

quarterly report this year, a fact of which he is quite proud.

Committee Reports

Accepted by acclamation.

New Book Keeping Procedures

Doing just as well as last year. I move that this be abolished as a

committe, since it only amounts to the Treasurer's regular duties at

this point.

BPFK

Copied from Arnt's presidential report:

- The BPFK is currently stuck in the Attitudinals checkpoint. There

is little controversial material here; it's just that the sections

are numerous, large, and very boring. There is also a lack of

shepherds who are able and willing to put in an effort.

Old Business

None.

New Business

Various conversations about the BPFK and Lojban/Klingon activities

occoured; none resulted in actual motions or voting.

The following was passed by general consent:

First, I move that we commend Robin on his outstdanding work on

samxarmuj (the Lojban MOO, which is now basically open for usage, in

case no one else was aware). It's certainly an interesting method of

getting people involved and learning the language in a fun and

interactive way, which has been difficult to come up with given our

relative lack of proximity to one another.

Second, and in the same vein, I move that we commend Matt Arnold on

his lojban evangelism. He seems to have a good group going on out

there in Michigan, and he seems to be very good at coming up with

ways

to get people interested. I'm still looking forward to the next

jbocradi.

In both of these, you see the doors opening wide for new Lojbanists,

who we really do need to keep this language moving forward. I'd like

to commend both of these gentlemen on their outstanding efforts.
