I don't see what you're trying to say here. Are you saying that the
speaker can decide to use whichever rule he/she likes - EITHER begin with a
pause OR not contain la/doi/whatever (OR both, of course)? If so, this
will not work. Suppose I decide (as I would) to use the "not contain ..."
option (where, presumably, I would not need to pause). I then say "coi .i
mi klama la virgini'as." as /coi .imiKLAmalavirGIni'as./. The hearer,
however, prefers the "begins with a pause" version (that can, presumably,
contain "la") and parses it "coi NAME" where NAME=.imiklamalavirgini'as.
