{ze'e} would indicate that the making lasts for ever. All they
are saying is that it covered the whole interval they were
there, i.e. that it was ongoing over that interval (having
started before and ending perhaps later).

ZEhAs give the duration of the main event. In this case, we
don't know the full duration of the main event, we only know
that the main event completely overlaps another event. That's
when I think ca'o should be used.
